Business Situation
A major pharma client was moving towards a significant amount of internal tolled manufacturing processing to generate tax savings, with limited process or technical designs to support the overall process. This "tolling" process, which is essentially subcontracting between two legal entities within the same overall enterprise, had requirements related to many functional areas, including Planning, Quality, Logistics, Purchasing, Mfg Execution, and Finance. The client required a design and guidance related to the tolling business processes, as well as a viable technical design to support a processes in SAP APO and ECC.
Program Description
Endeavor used supply chain planning and execution expertise in this area, as well as experience with other clients in similar processes to drive a full end to end solution which is currently in production.
Endeavor Involvement
Endeavor drove and developed the technical solution in SAP APO and ECC, associated business processes, training documentation, and implementation and change management activities including role/security definition and cutover plan.
Business Benefit
As a result of the work, the client had a streamlined global tolling solution which greatly improved the efficiencies and performance measures related to this process. In addition, the client was provided with documentation /deliverables which enabled the client to expand and support the solution. The solution driven by Endeavor is currently being expanded globally to other applicable areas within the client's supply chain.
